Partially replacing Portland cement with pyrolytic carbon would allow effective utilization of produced carbon at a scale that matches the needs of the ­hydrogen industry. If compressive strength of concrete can be maintained and cost reduced and current production processes maintained, the infrastructure industry could become an enabler for lower cost hydrogen for heavy manufacturing
